Volunteer on Sundays

28Sept14lobby19For every Sunday Worship service to happen, there are countless folks behind and in front of the scenes working hard. Take some time to scan the different ways you can serve on the Host Team or the Tech Team and let us know if you’re interested in connected in this way. We have learned never to underestimate the power of a smile, a hand shake, and kind word, and our Sunday morning volunteers makes this value come alive for us at Fellowship.

The Coffee Grinders

It is no doubt that Fellowship would not be as cheerful as it is without the hard, early-morning work of the Coffee Grinders. These men and women arrive long before the service to start brewing coffee, taking pots to the coffee kiosks, keeping them filled, and keeping them brewing. There are three teams that rotate every 3rd month. If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Assimilation Director, Dianne Matheny, at dmatheny@fellowshipjackson.com.

The Greeters

Our desire is to insure that by the time someone walks through our doors, whether member or first time visitor, that they are guaranteed a smile, a kind word, and eye contact with someone who notices that they are a part of our worship that day. Greeters are placed at each entrance of the Worship Center and Learning Center before each service. We have a dedicated pair of folks at our Worship Center doors who distribute bulletins and greet as well. Serving as a Greeter involves arriving 20 minutes early, but you can still attend the service for which you are greeting. If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Assimilation Director, Dianne Matheny, at dmatheny@fellowshipjackson.com.

The Ushers

Our Usher Team is waiting just inside the doors of the Worship Center to help people locate seating. Whether it’s making space, or letting someone know we have a space for them, the Ushers can make someone’s morning by showing others we care. Ushers pass the offering baskets during the service as well as assist with counting. Ushers rotate monthly and are still able to attend the service in which they are serving. If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Assimilation Director, Dianne Matheny, at dmatheny@fellowshipjackson.com.

The Security Team

Safety of our people and especially our children is very important. While everyone is welcome at Fellowship, we go to lengths to make sure we are doing all we can to prevent any unsafe situations. In the Learning Center as well as in the Worship Center, we have trained women and men serving on the Security Team. Connected by radios to each other, this crew keeps watch over all areas of our campus. If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Assimilation Director, Dianne Matheny, at dmatheny@fellowshipjackson.com.

The Connect Counter Team

Whether registering for a Bible Study or getting information on their first visit to Fellowship, the Connect Counter Team is made up of folks who are willing to help. This team is trained to provide helpful information. They also provide answers for whatever service project, mission trip, or Bible study is coming up. If they don’t know the answer, they find out who does. The Connect Counter Team is on a rotating monthly schedule, and on their Sundays to serve, they are found at the Connect Counter thirty minutes prior to the service, and fifteen minutes after. If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Assimilation Director, Dianne Matheny, at dmatheny@fellowshipjackson.com.

The Communion Team

Fellowship has the privilege of partaking of communion as a body of believers roughly six times a year. The Communion Team helps those Sundays prior to each service in preparing the sacraments to be distributed during the service. If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Assimilation Director, Dianne Matheny, at dmatheny@fellowshipjackson.com.

Tech Team

Fellowship’s Tech team works together to make all the technical aspects of Sunday Worship happen. Whether its running cameras, audio, lighting, video, or directing our camera operators, every volunteer is an important part of the service.  Our goal is to use our technology to create an environment where people can meet with God and allow the Gospel to be seen and heard more clearly in creative ways. If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Creative Arts Director, Jeremy Hunt, at jhunt@fellowshipjackson.com (no prior experience necessary).

Fellowship Kids

The Fellowship Kids Team is made up of several different volunteer positions that serve our children here at Fellowship. Serving on the Fellowship Kids Team could involve serving our nursery, being a small group leader, large group leader, actor, puppeteer, techie, classroom director, or being a part of our greet team. Click here for more information.  If you are interested in being part of the team, email our Kids Director, Brenda Stanley, at bstanley@fellowshipjackson.com.
