Community Groups

WE GROW TOGETHER

Growth is important because it enables us to follow Jesus as God intended. Community Groups are one of the three primary ways you can get connected with Fellowship. They are small groups of about 12 to 15 people who meet on different days once a week in people’s homes in order to help each other grow in faith.

Sign up for a Community Group by contacting Michael Sparks at msparks@fellowshipjackson.com or 731.668.5800.

PURPOSE

Community Groups exist to promote spiritual maturity and personal growth through compelling relationships and study of God’s Word. We do this by focusing on four primary activities:

SHARE
Each week the group takes time to share what is happening in their lives. This time becomes personal as the group grows more comfortable together.

STUDY
Our goal is to learn how to live out our Christianity in everyday life. Each week the group will study a sermon-based curriculum that relates to the current Sunday’s sermon.

SUPPORT
Members will learn how to take care of one another as Christ commanded (John 15:9-13). This care can be expressed through prayer, encouragement, listening, challenging one another, and meeting real needs.

SERVE
Spiritual growth is fostered as we demonstrate our faith through serving others. Each of us play an important role in the spiritual health of the church as we become the hands and feet of Jesus in the community in which we live (Ephesians 4:11-16).  Throughout the semester, it is our hope that each group can find and be affirmed in the ways God has designed you to serve and make a difference in the lives of others.
